Weaving Voices - Sunny Bank Mills

My talk was part of a programme called Weaving Voices - funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and hosted by the Archive of artists and makers who have used the Museum and Archive as a source of inspiration and developed their practice illustrating its relevance and highlight for me both the living heritage and processes which can be seen in the Archive.

As part of the talk I discussed glass making and how the processes link to weaving and materiality and how selected fabric and the stories behind those pieces gave me insipration to explore , what is possible when weaving glass threads - and selvedge.
