During her MA at the National Glass Centre , Sunderland University she  began researching textile heritage. 

She continued to use  Archives, such as Sunny Bank Mills in Leeds, which culminated in a body of work called 'Emotional Fabric' which explore textile analogies and emotional states.  Liz also works in craft collaborations which explore heritage skills in weaving.
