Objects and Ideas

Updated: Sep 18, 2020

This is a fairly short post. I've taken photos of the glass objects I've fused so far and I'm making other glass stringer 'constructions', and drawing. I've based the actual glass-making on creating glass linen, tweed, and ordinary domestic cloths.

I'm pleased with the look of the glass sheets in the air and how they float when they are suspended, and it has given me ideas as to what might be possible.

I'm continuing my experimenting with fusing and slumping, looking at what I can utilise with my current kiln depth.

I have unsuccessfully used chicken wire to try and develop a way of fusing a more 3-D shape ...I'm still experimenting...I'm trying not to edit out ideas that might be interesting.
