The North Yorkshire Open Studios had approx 170 Artists from a variety of disciplines who open thier homes and studios for visitors over the first two weekend of June.
In Knaresborough we had a lovely supportive group of artists showing , some are very established and have the same visitors yearly ...for people new to the area ..like me... I had a chance to talk through my processes , meet some lovely visitors and other artists.
We had a fantastic number of visitors and I had some interstesting conversations ..showing them the studio space and and its a huge effort but its worth turning my house into a gallery for a few weeks!

Recycled Discs from Scrap Leeds painted and scrumbled creating the same effect of wear and tear as you find on bobbins and the interior of mills.
